Building Bridges Through Courage

In the spirit of unity and community, join us on August 19, 2023, for a monumental and unique event that is guaranteed to leave an indelible mark on the city of Milwaukee. Hosted by PIH and CW, the event aptly named, Leap of Faith, is an extraordinary initiative designed to foster communication, transparency, and vulnerability among two traditionally disparate groups: police officers and formerly incarcerated individuals.

What is Leap of Faith

Leap of Faith transcends the norm by facilitating an unprecedented bonding experience between police officers and PIH’s graduates, as they literally take a leap together – a tandem skydive. This event aims to promote a mutual understanding and respect that will ripple throughout the community, as well as attract media coverage to shine a spotlight on the transformative work carried out by PIH.

This occasion is not just about the skydiving. It’s a full day of celebration and community-building, complete with a family-oriented atmosphere, food, beverages, entertainment, and a corn-hole tournament. So come, join us, and witness history being made as we bridge gaps and bring our community closer together.

On Saturday

The address to the Wisconsin Skydiving Center is:

N3407 County Highway K Jefferson, WI 53549

It’s about an hour’s drive from Milwaukee, so be prepared for that. We will have people assisting with where to park.

Beginning at 12pm and/or upon your arrival, please check in at the registration tent. You can check in under the person’s name that registered for you. Each person will receive 3 raffle tickets, and hopefully, we have enough t-shirts for everyone. We can not guarantee availability and sizes as they are first come, first served.

We will kick off the day’s events with an opening prayer at 12:30. The silent auction and raffle, along with games/contests, will begin immediately following. The top 3 winners from 3 games/contests have a chance to win prizes! All of these things will close at 3:30, and winners will be announced at 4. You do not need to be present to win; however, it is preferred.

Call 414-807-9540 if you have questions.

What’s More?

To capture the essence, spirit, and resonance of this event, a short documentary film will be produced. This documentary, covering the lead-up activities, the event, and its aftermath, will serve as a lasting testament to the potential for unity and healing within our community.

We invite you to join us in making this project a success and support us in creating a monumental spectacle of unity and communal healing.
