Community Warehouse / Partners In Hope is a faith-based organization passionately dedicated to helping willing men, women, and their families impacted by incarceration overcome social, economic, and criminal justice system barriers.
The Role of PIH in Prisoner Reintegration
Partners In Hope (PIH) is a robust prisoner reintegration initiative that has been impacting Milwaukee residents since 2018. Borrowing from the success of a Las Vegas initiative, Hope for Prisoners, PIH is committed to assisting individuals in their successful transition back into society.
PIH provides participants with a one-week soft skills workshop, called a “cohort,” equipping them for the transition ahead. They receive daily training on essential skills such as goal setting, time management, and financial literacy. Following this, they are given the opportunity to receive job training by working in transitional jobs at our stores.

Building Bridges with Law Enforcement in PIH
The Building Bridges with Law Enforcement session during the PIH workshop strives to bridge the gap between formerly incarcerated individuals and law enforcement personnel by creating an environment of safety, empathy, and open communication. This helps to cultivate trust and mutual understanding, ultimately increasing the chances that future encounters will end peacefully for both parties.

Ongoing Support Network for Participants
An essential aspect of our initiative is our ongoing support network, which includes a strong mentoring component. This network, comprised of mentors from diverse fields, including law enforcement, faith, and the business community, offers guidance and resources for as long as participants need. This enduring commitment ensures that our participants have the support they need to overcome the many obstacles they face when reintegrating into society.
Core Christian Principles
As a voluntary, faith-based initiative, PIH places emphasis on core Christian principles such as grace, hope, honesty, integrity, respect, and the dignity of work. Our ultimate goal is to assist our participants in achieving maturity in their faith and interpersonal skills, contributing positively to their community, attaining sustainable employment, securing stable housing, breaking free from addictions, and establishing positive family relationships.

Over the years, our mission and its initiatives have significantly impacted the Milwaukee community. Through our efforts, countless individuals and families have found support, guidance, and hope for a brighter future. We continue to be inspired by the stories of transformation and success that have come out of our programs.
