Your Path to Reintegration
Launched in 2018 and operating out of 324 W. North Avenue, Partners In Hope (PIH) is a robust prisoner reintegration initiative. Borrowing from the success of the Las Vegas initiative, Hope for Prisoners, we are committed to assisting individuals like you in your successful transition back into society.
PIH provides a one week soft skills workshop called “cohort”, equipping you for the transition ahead. Here, you receive daily training on essential skills such as goal setting, time management, and financial literacy. Then, you’re given the opportunity to receive job training by working in transitional jobs at our stores.
Building Bridges with Law Enforcement
PIH fosters a safe environment for dialogue between you and various representatives of law enforcement agencies. This Building Bridges with Law Enforcement session humanizes the badge, helps you understand the challenges officers face, and allows you to share your own stories and ask questions about the law enforcement profession. This process cultivates trust, and mutual understanding, and ultimately contributes to building a safer community for all.
Ongoing Support Network
At PIH, our support doesn’t end with the workshop. Our ongoing network includes a strong mentoring component, provides guidance and resources for as long as you need. We’re with you every step of the way, helping you overcome the many obstacles you may face when reintegrating into society.

Our program emphasizes core Christian principles such as grace, hope, honesty, integrity, respect, and dignity of work. We aim to help you achieve maturity in your faith and interpersonal skills, contribute positively to your community, attain sustainable employment, secure stable housing, break free from addictions, and establish positive family relationships.

What if I don’t have any job experience?
No problem at all! PIH is designed to provide you with both soft skills training and job training, regardless of your previous work experience. We’ll help you get ready for the workforce.
What if I don’t believe in God?
All are welcome. While PIH is a faith-based initiative, you do not have to be a Christian to participate. We respect and value all participants, regardless of the religious or non-religious beliefs.
What kind of support will I receive after the workshop?
At PIH, our support doesn’t end with the workshop. We have an ongoing support network that includes mentors from diverse fields. They are here to provide guidance and resources for as long as you need.
What are the Wednesday Night Huddles?
The Wednesday Night Huddles are weekly gatherings that bring together current participants, program graduates, mentors, parole and police officers, and supporters. They are a great opportunity for you to receive mutual support, share a meal, and learn from guest speakers.
What if I have a history of addiction?
We are here to help you live free of addictions. Our program provides a supportive environment for your journey toward sobriety, and we connect you with resources to assist you in this process.

While it’s not required for your parole officer to approve your participation in PIH, we believe it’s beneficial to have their support. This can help ensure that your participation aligns with any conditions of your parole and can provide an additional layer of accountability and encouragement.
Is Partners In Hope a program?
No, we are not a program as programs have end dates. We will walk with you by your side as long as it takes, because we understand that reintegration takes time. It is going to be difficult. There are going to be days when you don’t know what to do, and those days may be 10 years from now. Whenever those days come, we will be here. We will be here as long as you need us.
