Handwritten note from a 10-time felon who found Jesus through Partners in Hope:
Dear Partners in Hope staff and donors,
I was introduced to a loving, understanding, and genuine friendship by the Partners In Hope staff that I have never known. They did not judge me and they all had a completely selfless desire to see me succeed. I was scared, but I latched on to the program with a white-knuckled hunger that was fueled by
the staff’s sincerity and faith in me!
You see, I am 51 years old & a 10-time felon. My life has been littered with countless & futile attempts to break away from my alcohol addiction. I wanted to remain crime-free, to be responsible, and become a productive citizen in our society. Partners in Hope gave birth to a fire stirring in my soul that I have never known. I have an unbreakable faith in God and a renewed hope for my life!
I have a wonderful job and, more importantly, I have peace, joy, strength, hope, gratitude and a renewed love for God and life. If anyone asks me “what changed me?”, I simply go back to this: God and his ministry- Partners in Hope, saved my life. My life changed and the hope of salvation has forever blessed me! Thank you, Jesus, for never giving up on me, (Philippians 1:6)
Thank you to all of you donors reading this note, the staff and the volunteers at Partners in Hope for being so genuine. You all have truly shown me that even I, someone struggling with alcohol addiction and a 10-time felon, whom the world says is a loser, can be a winner today because of Jesus and Partners in Hope.
All glory and Praise to God! Amen
Scott
